Services - Stream Habitat/ Fish Passage/ Low impact logging

 JJH collaborated with Walsh Group to stabilize the shoreline using manta-ray anchors, logs, and beach nourishment. We conducted in-water work in compliance with HPA, excavated underwater, and restored shoreline and beach habitats. 

JJH partnered with Walsh Group to eliminate barriers to fish migration at six stream crossings and install fish-passable structures to meet federal requirements. The project also involves building embankments, grading creek channels, implementing erosion control measures, fish exclusion measures, and providing other professional services for five years after project completion.

 JJH is collaborating with Northwest Construction to enhance an existing fish passage. The project involves clearing and grubbing, excavation, installation of root wads and aggregate, restoration of the current stream channel, erosion control measures, and temporary erosion and sediment control.

 JJH has partnered with Aecon Construction and is supporting PBS Environmental in their fish exclusion efforts by installing a temporary block dam and stream diversion. Additionally, JJH has built a new bank and channel for Lake Creek, ensuring it is now accessible for fish. Currently, JJH is collaborating with Aecon on a slide repair and is involved in implementing the Raging River Passage & Deep Creek project.

JJH partnered with Energy Northwest to reintroduce Coho Salmon to Snyder Creek. The project involved clearing and grubbing, stream diversion, constructing a bridge for access to the south side of Snyder Creek, excavating and grading a new stream channel, harvesting and recycling large woody debris (LWDs), and connecting Snyder Creek to Hall Creek within the Cowlitz Watershed.
